Born on 25 November 1968, Jillian Noel Hennessy is a energetic Canadian performer and actress who has been praised by her outstanding contribution to American television. Her name is well-known for her superb performances in the American television show Law & Order where she captivated audiences for three seasons as the prosecutor Claire Kincaid and Crossing Jordan in which she played protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Her acting talents were shown in the films RoboCop 3 Most Wanted as well as Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) and The Acting Class. In these films, Shennessy also showcased her co-directing and writing capabilities. Hennessy began her acting career with her sister in the role of twin call-girls on Dead Ringers in 1988. In the year 1990, she made an appearance at a small stage show on Broadway in the role of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. Her next move was to sci-fi, and played Doctor. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. Her big break came at the end of 1993, after she was cast as the Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the hit NBC drama Law & Order. Her three-season stint in the character was well-loved by fans. In 1996, she left the show. Parker has been known for her roles in films and television series like RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys by the Side as well as the West Wing Angels of America in which she was awarded the Golden Globe Award as well as an Emmy Award. Parker has won the Tony Award 2001 for Best Actress in the Broadway Play Proof.
