Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic artist, performer and composer. He blends jazz from the soul genre with R&B for a distinctive mixture. She's performed on Broadway and in the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical experience began at the church, where she sang as well as played piano. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical training began on Atlanta's R&B Scene. The very debut song featuring her voice was called Stalk You, a Japanese house 12 track. Since then, it was remixed and has become a part of her repertoire. The singer has also provided her singing to The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005 she was hired as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as Choral Director of Dreamgirls, the theatre production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became the focus of notice during the four shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
